Girls Soccer · Huecker Honored as Lady Colonels.

The Lady Colonels honored their three seniors on Wednesday night.  Seniors Chloe Marcum, Kennedy Park and Kennedi Roehrig played in their final regular season home game and played to 2-2 tie as they as they hosted top ranked Assumption.  During half time of the event Colonel Nation recognized the accomplishments of 2019 OCHS Hall of Fame inductee Samantha Huecker who graduated from Oldham County in 2007.  Her accomplishments include being the team captain and leading scorer in her senior season and was named to the Male Cup All-tournament team and the 8th Regional All-tournament Team.  She was also a member of the All-8th Region Team and was Player of the Year.  In addition she was a 2 time Adidas All-American and played on the West all-star team and was names 1st Team All State.   Following Graduation Sam went on to attend and play Soccer at the University of Charlotte where she played varsity all four years.   In her senior season she was named A-10 First Team All-Conference…Named NSCAA Scholar All-American First Team…Named NSCAA Scholar All-Region South First Team and finished her career ranked in school history in assists, shots, games played, games started and minutes played.  Following college she played professionally for the Charlotte Lady Eagles and in Sweden before going on to coach at Lenoir-Rhyne and Gardner-Webb.  Samantha will be inducted into Hall of Fame induction on May 9th along with the other members of the 2019 Hall of Fame class.
